"Walk Past the Past, You Are Powerful Now"

Hello I am so exited to write to you today. I am feeling good for nothing at all it seems, but at the same time I am grateful, I have so much to be grateful for. All we have to do is to be grateful now. As we are grateful more comes to us. I was inspired to write about this topic because we don't give enough credit to how we allow the past to create our future.

We have all had moments where we have fell into a memory of the past, and that one memories created a snowball of thoughts and emotions, all stemming from that one memory. It is noteworthy to mention, that we in turn become focused on a memory that we can't change.
But you get to feel the feelings of the memory as if it were happening now. If I could turn back time, right.

I literally had to get "let it go," in Zulu tattooed on my arm so I can see it all day every day. I had the hardest time letting go of making choices that I came to later regret. But the biggest part of the regret that I felt was not listening to my inner voice. I didn't listen when my gut said no, and I learned. It taught me to take a step back and to not be so impulsive in my actions, especially in big decisions. I do a sway test before I make any choices that I feel mixed feelings about. Any big decisions, I perform a sway test. You're probably wondering what a sway test is...hmmm :)

A sway test brings you to tap into your unconscious and subconscious mind to bring about the decision that will be best for you. Sometimes we don't know what to do, and sometimes we forget that we can ask God. A sway test is a muscle test that gets the answers from the subconscious mind to find out what's best for your energy system. It is an easy test to do and it is a valuable tool to have and use throughout your life.

First you want to be well hydrated to start your energy test. You can stand or sit while doing a sway test, however I prefer standing.
  1. Make sure that both feet are facing forward and not turned out to the sides. Be sure that your hands are down at your sides. Relax your body by taking a deep breath, hold your breath in for at least a 5 count breathing in through your nose, then out of your mouth.
  2. Is is optional for you to tap on your thymus gland for about 30 seconds to make sure that your energy is forward facing. "which is under your breast bone in your chest — about an inch below the notch in your neck where you’d tie a tie. Simply tap there for about 30 seconds. You don’t need to be perfectly over the spot as the percussion effect of the tapping will do the work." amybscher.com/self-muscle-testing-the-sway-test-or-idiometer-response/
  3. First make a thought in your head about any questions that you are going to ask yourself.
  4. Next we begin by testing the sway test by asking yourself your name, "Is my name Raquel insert your name?" You will feel your body move forward.
  5. Then ask yourself is your name something that isn't your name, like "is my name Jane Jackson, and with an incorrect name you will feel your body sway backwards.
  6. Examples following the accuracy test, "Am I irritated with my work situation?" Your body will sway
  7. Follow the question up, "Is the job that I am working the right job for me?"
  8. "Am I agitated by something someone said to me?"
  9. "Should I talk to ____ said person about the matter?"
  10. "Should I take this new job?"
  11. Should I have this medical procedure done
"Ask yourself a specific YES/NO question … it MUST be phrased in a positive truth frame, as the UNconscious has ZERO capability to process negative thought! That’s why, when you tell someone (including yourself) to NOT do something, the first thing they do is exactly what you said NOT to do (source: Get UNstuck NOW Breakthrough Coaching System: Your Wish IS Granted: Only Think of What You DO Desire)." medium.com/@PaulLitwack/who-needs-a-true-yes-no-answer-right-now-apply-the-sway-test-d7d0049212aa

These questions can go on and on, and I trust this method because I have used it countless times and it has never been the wrong way to go. It may have looked like it was at first but in the end everything worked out good for me and my situation. I used this test to ask if I should quit a new assignment that I had just begun, and when the sway test told me to, I felt like maybe it was wrong. I listened to it anyway and the results proved to be right.

Now back to the past and re-living the past. We will literally re-live the past in our mind and in turn our physical circumstances when we focus on our past choices in our mind. Everything happens in spirit first. We should know how our spirit is feeling at every moment throughout the day. If we know how our spirit is feeling, we can alter moods and recognize when our spirit is beginning to dip low. The only past that would be beneficial for us to re-live are past moments that brought us happiness, past moments when we did something that brought us sheer bliss. It could be the moment when you accomplished something great, you would want to garner more of that feeling.

The memories of the past that can be thought of and talked about as happy memories will place you in a vibrational frequency that will bring about more pleasant events into your life. However it works equally for the past that is not so pleasant. When we focus on what we should have, could have, or would have done, we started to bring about feeling of regret. It went how it was supposed to go. If it weren't supposed to go that way, it wouldn't have. Instead of us focusing on what we should have or could have done, we can use the experience to have the wisdom to know what to do if we are ever presented with a situation like that again, or a similar situation.

When we look back on the past we need to look back on it with a sense of proudness. We can be proud to see how far we have evolved in our spiritual and physical journey. We know better so we are doing better. We are accepting what happened, and living in the present moment with it, because we know that we are powerless outside the current moment. What can you do about what happened in the past right now? What can you do about what is to happen in the future? You can manifest and visualize the most pleasant scenes in your mind, but you can't override with the Universe has in mind.

In the present moment is where all of your power is, it's where you are most powerful. A book that changed my life is, "The Power of Now," by Eckhart Tolle. It made me focus on the present moment and I was in the mindset of the past, I was anxious about what was going to happen to me in the future. I was ill with lupus and it seemed to be getting worse, I had just got out the hospital, and I didn't know how to cope. I was in a mind of wondering why it happened to me. My brother is the one who told me about the book, and he is an expert about not living in past.

If you think in the past looking at some of the choices that you made with an eye of what you could have done to prevent such experience, you will begin to mentally stick yourself in the past situation and start kicking yourself for not making a different choice. It will literally eat you alive at the core of your being. I went on in these kinds of mindstates for months, going back and forth in mind, and I was missing so much of the present moment because I wasn't present with it.

My family tried helping me by telling me that I had to move on. I was hurting myself and I was stagnating my spiritual growth and progress. It's like telling God that God isn't right in what happened. This is my fate, my karmic debts and lessons, and I made a deal before I came here to go through whatever I had to in order to progress spiritually, and do God's work.

When we reach back into the past, we reach back and find out that not only do we have no control over it, we also invite people from the past that we grew from. We invite similar past situations that we worked so hard to get out of. We can use the past to our advantage to heal from the traumatic situations that we faced and lived through. You made it through. You made the right choice, you atoned, you learned. No more are we in the days of crucifying ourselves for the choices that we made. We did what we thought was right at the time. We acted from our level of consciousness at that current time. We have evolved beautifully and gracefully.

The past doesn't have to predict your future. You don't have to sit in the results of the past. You can change situations, you can create your life, you can make yourself over. Give yourself permission to let go of anything that no longer serves you. You can have faith when you are stepping into the dark and deep waters.

Do what you can now. Don't let regret shut you down. We have to learn to live with regret. As soon as we let go of those thoughts, behaviors, and people that no longer serve us, there is room for what will serve us best to come into our lives. God wants us to enjoy ourselves.

There are time machines it's not a fallacy, but you have watched those movies when a person went back in the past and changed one thing, and caused a complete change of the future. They made one change or choice and it spiralled into events where someone close to them died or was faced with danger, or someone they loved wouldn't have been born, all kinds of confusing freaky stuff, right? :)

Ever event stimulates another event, and another reaction, on and on continuously. So whenever we go back in the past in our mind, we are creating from those places, and moments. Is that what you really want to do?

Life is so much happier when you accept what happened, move forward, creating a new and improved you.
